EmpathySphere is an indie app studio focused on building AI-powered mobile tools that help people communicate better and understand their relationships more clearly. We believe technology should serve emotional intelligence, not replace it.
Our work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, behavioral psychology, and mobile design. We build apps that take complex emotional dynamics and make them accessible, actionable, and private.
What We Do
We create mobile applications that use AI to help people navigate the complexities of interpersonal communication. Our flagship app, Vibe Check, analyzes text messages and chat screenshots to identify healthy and toxic communication patterns, giving users the clarity they need to respond with confidence.
How We Think About Building
- Privacy by default. Messages analyzed by our apps are processed in real-time and never stored on our servers. Your private conversations stay private.
- Accessible to everyone. Our apps are free and ad-supported. We do not gate core features behind paywalls.
- Honest AI. Our AI gives you a real friend's perspective, not clinical jargon. We disclose AI-generated content clearly and provide reporting tools on every result.
- Security-first architecture. Server-authoritative data validation, Firebase App Check, HMAC integrity verification, and prompt injection defenses are built into every layer.
